The pedagogical implication of using search engines

Students are motivated to participate in activities when working on computers are included. They are given the resposibility and the right to choose whatever information they would like to know more about. Especially information they are interested, this would be easier for them to concentrate when listen and also, they might have got plenty of background knowledge. In this case, studnets could understand the contect even they do not know the language terms. As a result, studnets might be able to learn new vocabularies in a spontanious and entertaining way.
Meanwhile, in stead of being given all the materials, studnets need to search by themselves. During this process, students' ability of searching for useful information is enhanced.
However, students are also easy to be distracted when they are working on computers. This could be time consuming and it demands that the teacher need to walk around in the classroom all the time and ask those who are distracted to come back to get the task done.
